I don't think I'm far enough along to havw experienced it myself but my midwife mentioned it when I saw her last. She has no idea what causes it though! I get weird spasmy, shuddering type movements, again seems to be a mystery of modern medicine.

I get this a few times a day since about 38 weeks..I'm now 41 and its still happening! Strange!!

I had this when having DD2. Spent hours googling it as I was convinced something would be wrong. Found a few references to it but never a real explanation. It was sometimes so loud my (x)DH could hear it. She was fine though so nothing to worry about I guess.

I heard this a lot when pregnant with my son. Often when feeling movement I'd notice fairly loud clicking and popping. Turns out it was his little joints. They carried on being noisy well into his first year but the HV and physio weren't concerned and he is a healthy, active 2 year old. Smile

I'm nearly 38 weeks and that's exactly what's been happening to me for the past week or so. It's not very loud, but can definitely be heard, and moreover can be felt too if at that moment I have my hand placed on bump. It's like a pop feeling. Very strange indeed!!

Yes! This happened with DD. Everyone laughed at me, now shes here she has a clicky shoulder. Doesn't bother her, but it clicks if she moves certain ways.

I had clicking noises with my first pregnancy. Never found out what caused them and didn't happen with my second.
