I've had some people describe baby first movement as popping and others like twitches in the stomach, just wondered what you all felt and when you knew it was baby? X

I felt like a flick or poke at 17 weeks was obvious that it was baby by the way it happened and the feeling of it. Baby started to regularly move around 20 weeks

Like being ticklef from inside :)

You know when sometimes you get that repetitive, involuntary twitch in your eyelid? It felt like that.

wonders if it's just me

Oysterbabe · 03/11/2015 23:07

Mine was a tickle too, like someone was dragging a feather around my insides!

Sighing · 04/11/2015 14:32

Definitely as though something was twitching inside. Occasionally a feeling of falling/ moving ... like going over a bridge (but very faint) isolated to the abdomen.

QforCucumber · 04/11/2015 14:39

tootsie that's the exact way I described it to my DP a couple of weeks ago!

NHKX2 · 04/11/2015 14:46

First movements were twitchy, like I'd swallowed a jumping bean!

Boosiehs · 04/11/2015 14:48

Twitchy - depends where your placenta is. 1st DS was at the front so felt very little to 21 weeks +, with DC2 I felt proper twitches at 17 weeks.

about 14 weeks it felt like when you go over a hill and your stomach goes if you get me? or on a roller coaster? (butterflies as some might put it) then about 18 weeks random isolated pokes which must have been DS first kicks! it was the most exciting thing ever!

BiffleRoo · 04/11/2015 16:49

Early movements felt like bubbles with mine.
