I know, I know. Never thought I would post something like this. Took a test this morning as have been having lower abdominal cramps for 6 days. I'm still breastfeeding dc2 who is 10mths and haven't had a period since the birth. Given the pain and no periods so can't tell if I've 'missed' my period thought I'd do a test just to rule it out. We are relaxed ttc if it happens it happens type thing and we'd be happy. Looked at the test after 1 minute and no line (its a 3min early test) got distracted by baby and dc1 and didn't go back until 30mins later and low and behold a line. I'm sure it must be an evap line but it's very distinct and it has colour(!) will do another test tomorrow morning but what are other's experiences with evap lines from branded tests? Did they have colour? Google tells me no they don't have colour and most don't but occasionally do Grin so that's clear then lol. Due to age and other factors am slightly concerned about ectopic. Will set a timer next time to look at the darned thing within the time frame! Here's a not great picture the line is much more defined than it shows in the photo

Hmm hard to tell. I would do another test first thing tomorrow or at 5am when the baby can't distract you!!

FattyNinjaOwl · 03/11/2015 15:31

See to me that's a positive test. Definitely retest first thing go be sure though.

betty10k · 03/11/2015 15:32

Definitely positive - mine was the same.

ISeeIt · 03/11/2015 15:33

That's a positive. Congratulations! Although I'm in the same boat, pregnant with dc3, ds is 11 months, and hyperemesis has properly set in.. Wishing you a sick free pregnancy!

Iammad · 03/11/2015 15:59

It does look a positive, but I had had tests in the past that have showed a good positive after the time frame and I wasn't pregnant.
I would just do another one (superdrug or first response are good) and go with that.

Thanks all! For some reason my thread posted 3 times so I bumped a different one, that thread has more info. Smile

I will definitely do another one tomorrow morning, when I'm hopefully not interrupted this time! I have a FRER will use that too.

I'm super happy and rather Shock that you all think it's positive and not an evap! I thought every one would say as it's after 30+mins its an evap! Iammad I've been wondering exactly your experience..... may be chemical pregnancies? I don't know... am tying myself in knots! Will have to hold out until tomorrow morning and hopefully get a clearer answer!

ISeeIt Congrats! and thanks for the sick free pregnancy wishes I will need it! Grin Have severe nausea and food aversions when pregnant, not enough vomiting to be classed as HG but have to take 2 different meds and had zero weight gain at the end of last pregnancy, same weight as I started at 38wks! Am slightly worried at the age gap, I'll have 3 under 5 with dc1 SN ˆgulpˆ

But I'm getting ahead of myself slaps face Wink
