how much weight has everyone put on?

I lost 10lbs at the start of my pregnancy and at 25 weeks have put 10lbs back on so am back to my starting weight. I was a bit concerned as thought I should have put a lot more on by now but the midwife said I'm measuring exactly as I should. Is it just that I'll put the majority on in the last couple of months?

I've put on 33lb at 38 weeks. So I'll be at the very upper end of the recommended amount by D-day!

Junosmum · 30/10/2015 09:01

I was like you, I lost 8lbs at the beginning and I was 24 weeks when I'd gained it back. I'm now 29 weeks and have put on 9lbs over my starting weight. I've read 1-2lbs per week is normal for now but I do need to stop being a piggy!

Runningupthathill82 · 30/10/2015 11:21

27lb at 27 weeks (sigh).

FizzlePops · 30/10/2015 12:41

10lbs at 17 weeks with twins. I've really tried this time to be careful but I've got my appetite back now and its hard.
I gained 25 kilos with DD #piglet

BabyBNumberThree · 30/10/2015 13:11

At 31+5 I've put 19 pounds on

mummyneedinganswers · 30/10/2015 13:15

I'm 35 weeks and have put on 1kg

Whoknewitcouldbeso · 30/10/2015 13:17

25 weeks and have gained about a stone and feel like a whale

Everythinggettingbigger · 30/10/2015 13:56

9 weeks and already gained about 6lbs Shock

ispyfispi · 30/10/2015 16:04

14 weeks, 10lbs. I know I'm going to put on a lot more as I gained about 3stone in each previous pregnancy regardless of how well I ate/exercised.

DelphiStar · 30/10/2015 16:24

10 weeks and 4lbs. Waistline is huge though and none of my clothes fit already... Bloaty mc bloat.

Sunshine511 · 30/10/2015 16:47

10 weeks and 2 pounds but I'm the same DelphiStar. My waist is way bigger and nothing fits Shock

GizzyBoo · 30/10/2015 16:55

11 weeks and 6lb. Only way to not feel sick is to eat crappy carbs all day.

I've had to retire most of my jeans already. This is #5. It shows! Halloween Blush

21 weeks and 14lbs Confused

SweepTheHalls · 30/10/2015 18:50

31 weeks and 8lbs Halloween Smile

MrsCrimshaw · 30/10/2015 18:52

I haven't weighed myself at all, and neither has the MW since my booking appointment. I have a big bump, my legs are sturdier and my boobs are still growing, but other than that my shape hasn't really changed. I know I'm really heavy as I struggle to haul my body up the bed (!), but I didn't want to put a number on it.

MrsPCR · 30/10/2015 18:59

Currently 19 weeks and 3lbs. I lost a bit at the beginning, about 4lbs and got back up to starting weight around 15 weeks. My bump already feels quite heavy when I lie on my side and my boobs have doubled so think it's all gone there. Hopefully.

Tfoot75 · 30/10/2015 19:06

16 weeks and have lost about half a stone, now stopped losing so think the weight gain will start from here!

Red193 · 30/10/2015 19:28

19 weeks and not put on a gram.

CoffeeAndOranges · 30/10/2015 19:52

Good grief you lot are lightweights - literally! I'm 37 weeks tomorrow and have put on a whopping 3.5 stone!!! It has gone on steadily and, whilst I am obviously bigger in every dimension (in size 14 pants now rather than 10s), I have been told many times that I am 'all bump', and my osteopath today commented that I appeared to have kept my waistline Hmm. So I don't feel as big as 3.5 stone would imply.

At 20-25 weeks I was gutted at how much I was gaining but I am fine with it now - what will be will be, and I have to remind myself that I have half a stone of baby, the placenta, amniotic fluid, another 3 pints of blood, a huge uterus and probably lots of other stuff that wasn't there before and won't be there afterwards, so I'm not too concerned. Me & baby are both fine and midwife not concerned in the slightest.

Yes I've eaten more (was the only way of not being sick in tri 1) and since mid tri 2 I've had SPD so have gone from being in training for a half marathon to wheezing and creaking as I walk to the bus. I'll get back there again.... one day.....

Icklepickle101 · 30/10/2015 20:08

24lbs at 27 weeks, what's the 'recommend'?

I haven't really worried about it as have a large bump and noticeable boob growth so in my mind it was justified Blush

Paperblank · 30/10/2015 21:32

Have lost 8kg since booking in at 6 weeks. Currently 21+5. I was on slimming world initially and lost 2kg on that. The rest has come off from second trimester onwards.

I'm not trying to lose weight and I am eating really well but in all honesty I was overweight to start with so needed to lose few stone!

I have been incredibly lucky, barely any sickness, no cravings and an easy pregnancy so far. It may all change from here on in so I'm very thankful for every easy day I've had.

My Dsis had an awful time with her two pregnancies and I thought I'd have a similar pregnancy. She's already told me she hates me Grin

tractorgirl123 · 30/10/2015 21:50

I'm 27 weeks and have put on a stone, there are various weight gain calculators for pregnancy if you google it, so according to the one I found for my height I'm at the bottom end of the healthy range to have gained which is good as I feel really heAvy already! Put on 2.5 stone altogether first time round.
( are you allowed to put links to sites like that in posts on here or not?)

BlueBananas · 30/10/2015 21:54

39+2 and at last check I'd put on 3 stone
Never knew there was a recommended amount though - surely everyone carries completely differently?!

Runningupthathill82 · 30/10/2015 21:55

Pregnancy weight gain depends on so many things, and I honestly believe that you only have a certain degree of control over it.
In my first pregnancy I gained two stone exactly. Pretty much "perfect."
This time round I'm eating less and exercising far more, but I'd gained two stone by 25 weeks - which makes little sense. (I was slimmer to start with this time, but have been a healthy BMI each time).
I'm going to be huge by the end.... Shock

ElleAndAitch · 31/10/2015 00:59

I'm 27 weeks pregnant and have gained 26lbs. It is true there is very little you can do as much of the 'weight' is blood volume and water. I gave birth only last March and looked pretty amazing 11 wks postpartum but I had a textbook pregnancy. This time around I am crippled and on crutches with SPD and vulval varicose veins Thanks
