How much bigger do we get?

I'm 33 weeks now and measuring about 31cm. Yesterday I caught up with some family and friends and a couple of ladies were like 'oh you'll get a lot bigger!'.

I have been told by quite a few others including my midwife that I have a nice tidy compact bump and haven't really put weight on anywhere else but people were beginning to scare me yesterday!!

How much bigger will I get? :o how much do you tend to grow in the last 7 weeks??

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

The rule of thumb is that your uterus will measure 1cm for each week from here on - so in theory you could get as big as 42cms.

TaliZorah · 26/10/2015 15:41

I never grew past 31cm

Ladypug · 26/10/2015 15:47

I'm currently 40cm (40.5 weeks) but people are still saying I'm all bump and compact etc so I'm sure it's all in proportion! And I'm v petite normally!

teamrigby · 26/10/2015 15:49

Its interesting to hear everyone's views as I feel massive lol!

Oh well, lets see how much I grow :)

I got told I was tiny too OP, I felt massive for me but I was still in my normal clothes until 7 months so I guess I wasn't that big.

DS was also small when he was born even though all the scans said he would be huge..

Brummiegirl15 · 26/10/2015 21:15

I got told I was "fucking huge" today. Sad

I'm only 26 weeks and don't even know how big I am... But growing 1cm a week is a scary prospect

LoveAndHate · 26/10/2015 23:21

This is me at 26 weeks today...

WiIdfire · 26/10/2015 23:24

I got to about 45 but then the baby was 11lb 2, so that explained that.

teamrigby · 27/10/2015 11:20

WiIdfire - ouch!

LoveAndHate - I'll have to get a photo later but at 33 weeks my bump does look smaller than yours :)

Hi rigby! This is me at 33 weeks taken today! I'm all bump too and not put on weight elsewhere. This is my first but I'm aware you grow 1cm a week! At my 31w Midwife appointment I was meas 32cm but i can't imagine getting much bigger! And I think I'm starting to waddle...

I'm liking this comparing bumps :)

LoveAndHate and Chopsface - do either of you know what you are having? we kept it a surprise but everyone tells me I'm having a boy as bump is low and all on front. I take it all with a pinch of salt because my mum carried looking the same but with me lol! but interested to know if you know and seeing your bumps as comparison :)

How much bigger do we get?
LovedAndHated · 28/10/2015 11:36

Argh! You are all beautifully compact and neat! OP, I'm having a boy, called Ezra! Smile

I'm in dreadful pain with SDP, though, and now on crutches with 13 wks still to go Sad

teamrigby · 28/10/2015 11:51

TaliZorah - see your bump looks higher than mine, nearer to you boobs - whereas I seem to have a definite gap :)

LoveAndHated - oh no :( touch wood, I've had an ok pregnancy so far. Just started to feel really uncomfortable in the last couple of weeks (obviously were I'm running out of space lol) :)

Hehe I remember being about 30 weeks and thinking I couldn't get bigger! At 41 weeks I'm something else!!!

LovedAndHated · 28/10/2015 12:43

teamrigby, I had my first baby last year and it was blissfully unproblematic, painless - textbook really. This time I am crippled and have vulval varicose veins rendering my labia looking not unlike the Elephant Man Sad

Wildfire! Please come tell us about the birth!

chopsface · 28/10/2015 12:56

I'm having a boy and yes my bump is low and all out front! Apparently typical, apparently.

TaliZorah · 28/10/2015 18:48

teamrigby I have a really short torso so my bump didn't drop as much as some peoples. He was also back to back
