Hi all,

I woke up this morning with burning hot, solid boobs, sorry! feeling a bit feverish at 28 weeks.

I'm suspecting this might be the beginning of colostrum production.

Has anyone else experienced similar?

I haven't. Have you taken your temp or are you just going on how you feel? I have had periods of feeling very warm but not registering a temp with a thermometer. If you are actually running a fever, you may want to consider steps to reduce it (like paracetamol in small doses) as a high fever can occasionally be bad for baby.

I think if I had a true fever (rather than just pregnancy heating) and solid boobs id call the maternity triage for a chat just in case.

It's prob nothing but if you have an infection brewing somewhere (Duno if you can actually get mastitis without having milk? Although my horse did once) you want that sorting sooner rather than later

Thanks both, I did take my temperature and didn't have one despite how I felt.

You're right though, whilst I've never had mastitis it did feel a bit like I would expect that to.

I'm not feeling any worse, no actual temp and the boob situation has reduced slightly so I'll keep an eye on things.
