Hiya
I posted a few days ago ..... I was getting faint bfp's ....
Anyway... I went to the Drs Monday and they did a blood test

They rang me back today and said hcg count was only 17!
And I asked if it was a chance of being chemical or a miscarriage and they weren't too helpful

I have got an appt wiv my gnaecologist tomorrow evening as I have been on clomed for 9 months

I'm so worried that it's so low and the gp wasn't very assuring neither :-/

I am hoping its cos I ovulated later than I thought:-/

Please can anyone offer some reassurance as I'm worried sick

Above 5 is considered pregnant, so that suggests you could just be very early. However one number on its own doesn't really tell you anything - you need another test 2-3 days later and want to see that number at least doubling.

If it is still low or hasn't doubled then it might be a chemical I'm afraid, but you don't know until you get that second test. I would call back and go in again asap! You will get a much clearer idea then.

Here is a guide to the levels:

3 weeks LMP 5 – 50 mIU/ml
4 weeks LMP 5 – 426 mIU/ml
5 weeks LMP 18 – 7,340 mIU/ml
6 weeks LMP 1,080 – 56,500 mIU/ml
7-8 weeks LMP 7, 650 – 229,000 mIU/ml
9-12 weeks LMP 25,700 – 288,000 mIU/ml
13-16 weeks LMP 13,300 – 254,000 mIU/ml
17-24 weeks LMP 4,060 – 165,400 mIU/ml
25-40 weeks LMP 3,640 – 117,000 mIU/ml
