Hiya, I am just under 20 weeks pregnant and I'm sure I don't feel the baby move every day. Is this normal for how far along I am and considering that I do feel the baby move?
I have my scan on Tuesday next week and I'm sure all is fine just getting a bit nervous that I'm not feeling him or her each day

I didn't feel my baby move everyday until around 22 weeks. And it was proper kicks from 24 weeks. I wouldn't worry too much as baby can still hide at this point and probably is still moving but not connecting with your tummy inside allowing you to feel it x

The same here I really didn't start to feel baby move until about 23-24weeks and then I wouldn't really notice a pattern until a bit later on in my pregnancy. I'm 37 weeks today and all I feel it's little ones bum

As above - at 20 weeks the baby is still pretty small and I certainly didn't feel him everyday. I would say by 26 weeks it was everyday reliably. Please also note that they do have lazy days (often after a crazy one) and its not always a constant level of activity.

Thanks. It's what I thought but thought it worth asking. I love feeling bubs little kicks. I'm sure when it has a foot in my rib I will want it to go back.

Thank you for your reassurance :)

Hi,

I am 22 weeks and it's only now that I have started feeling the baby move everyday. Sometimes it's a lot, sometimes just a little. I also get nervous and start worrying.
It's still only bubbles and not proper kicks!

I was advised by the midwife that as it's my first, I won't feel proper movements until at least 24 weeks so I am desperately waiting for that!

Good luck for your upcoming scan, all will be well!

Brummiegirl15 · 21/10/2015 13:19

I spoke to my consultant at 22 wks as I was worried about lack of movement and was told it was simply too early and the baby was too small and that it would happen.

I'm now 25 weeks and she's kicking and moving like a demon!!!

Sleepybeanbump · 21/10/2015 16:42

I certainly didn't feel it much at 20 weeks. Everyone kept freaking me out by asking me if he was kicking all the time. It was probably only around 23 it became every day, and not for another few weeks that I was confident of a routine. I remember reading all this stuff about people going for monitoring because the movement changed and I would like 'how on earth do you KNOW?' And then at 28 weeks it was me in hospital being monitored because I hadn't felt him all morning and he always has a good dance about at breakfast.

BreeVDKamp · 21/10/2015 16:44

I didn't feel my first kick until 20 weeks, certainly not every day until a few weeks later.

BreeVDKamp · 21/10/2015 16:45

Omg I loved feeling kicks. I want to be pregnant again! Congrats OP Flowers

Hi I didnt feel any moves really until about 26 weeks i felt a little flutter here and there but nothing strong or no patterens. It all depends on baby my little man didnt move for nearly 2 days a few weeks ago i was so worried i went to the emergency room just to find he was nice and comfy fast asleep lol im 37 weeks hope all goes well at your skan x

Phalenopsisgirl · 21/10/2015 19:33

As everyone else has said, it's pretty roomy in there at the moment so it will be moving every day but it is able to nestle into spots where you won't feel the kicks and other days will hit more sensitive places, please don't worry

Me624 · 21/10/2015 21:14

I'm almost 21 weeks and haven't felt a thing yet. It was confirmed at my 20 week scan that I have an anterior placenta. The midwife told me I could not be feeling anything until easily 23/24 weeks.
