I know this sounds crazy but I honestly can't do much more of this. It's still a few days till due date and I'm exhausted, fed up, in pain, massive, lonely and at Rock bottom. Please tell me it gets easier? I have no idea when baby will be here and I just can't handle waiting anymore! I have bad spd so walking/exercise is out, have no car, DH is working shifts so not seeing him much and I'm sleeping on and off as up so many times in the night! Can't afford all the things ppl recommend eg spa days, haircuts etc and just feel so so down and isolated. Can't watch any more daytime telly and have gone past the high energy nesting stage where I want to clean, tidy and cook! How are other people coping mentally???

I was hospitalised for two weeks before I had my section at 38wks (for gestational diabetes and other medical reasons) because my SPD was so bad. I'd got to the point where I literally couldn't do anything without help. Stairs? Ahahahaha. My DH had been sliding my feet up for me because I physically couldn't lift them up myself. We knew I needed to be admitted when I couldn't manage that any more. I'd been on crutches for months and ended up hiring a wheelchair, which I credit for delaying my hospital admission by a week or so.

I'm now cuddling my week old DS2. I can walk. I can get up and down stairs. I can dress myself. I can BEND DOWN. The pain is still there from the SPD but I'm managing on diclofenac and paracetamol, instead of the maximum amounts of codeine I needed pre-birth.

It felt like forever. I got there. You will too. Flowers
