Clear blue question

Hello! I found out last Tuesday that I am pregnant using a clear blue date pregnancy test. Very happy and it said 2-3 weeks.

I've been feeling pretty much fine (apart from sore boobs) so I began to worry a little that I might not even be pregnant Hmm so I did another test this morning and it still says 2-3 weeks - 10 days after I originally tested. I thought it should be 3+ by now.

Has anyone had similar and gone on to have a baby?

Thanks in advance, wish I hadn't have tested now Confused

Try not too worry, 'normal' hcg levels can vary hugely and everything still be fine. According to numbers I've found on Google, if you were at the lower end when you first took the test, your hcg levels could be doubling every 48 hours for over 12 days and you'd still be in the 2-3 week range. Plus if your very hydrated your urine well be very weak etc. Chances are everything is fine.

2-3 weeks after ovulation is 4-5 weeks pregnant. Most don't get any morning sickness until 6-8 weeks, and 20% of people don't get any at all. Sore boobs is a good sign so try to relax!

Thanks so much for replying! That makes sense and makes me feel much better. I'm probably the most hydrated person around as well - I love water!

Totally put my mind at ease, thanks again Star

I also had the same thing and worried that my HCG levels weren't increasing as they should. All was fine though and I am now 13 weeks. Try not to read too much into the tests, as I found out they can cause a lot of unnecessary stress!

And congratulations! Smile

Hi

My test also said 2-3 weeks, when i visited my GP around a week later she said i was approx 6 weeks given my last period. I mentioned the clear blue date test to my midwife she said she'd never known it to give another reading other than 2-3 weeks so by the sounds of it the date part isn't very accurate! X

I got 1-2 weeks on my clear blue. Retested the next day and got 2-3 weeks. I was doubtful at that point as to how reliable it actually was.

I went from 1-2 weeks to 3+ in about five days on clear blue- not at all accurate. I used ICs as was obsessed with watching the line get darker (although I realise this is OTT!)

My clear blue digital came back 3+ weeks 2 days after my period was due... The normal tests were really faint at this point so I was hardly brimming with hcg

... Sorry pressed send before I was ready then! But yes, wayyy out, but my midwife says that's pretty standard for them and to focus on the "pregnant" line as that's the only reliable bit!

They're not very good. I had one come up 3+ but the 'not' kept flickering up.
