+ve test while bf no baby

About 10 weeks ago I had pregnancy symptoms while still bf so I did a test +ve, roll on to today my first scan and no sign of pregnancy, sac or anything. The hospital got me to do a test -ve. I have had no bleeding at all still no af since before last pregnancy, I have 2 children already and was convinced I was pregnant, the hospital just said I must of had a false +ve. Has this happened to anyone else? I'm so confused

Oh well nature does some strange things. It would have been a lot worse if I didn't have 2 lo's already.

I don't suppose there's any chance you did an ovulation test instead of a pregnancy test? I know it sounds stupid but I had both laying around while ttc while still bf and no periods to go by. Maybe you are gearing up for your cycles to return? Sorry this has happened to you though, how confusing.
