Has anyone tried Pregaday tablets?

These are over the counter supplements (NOT Pregnacare multivitamins, which the pharmacy assistants kept thinking I meant). They contain iron and folic acid. You can't use them in the first trimester but as I'm now 15 weeks I thought I'd give them a go. Does anyone have any experience please?

Hopeful bump.

I was prescribed these from 9 weeks as I had twins this time and would recommend avoiding them like the plague unless I was in desperate need of the iron (which I was) due to the fact they cause the most HORRIFIC constipation known to man.
I've since read that if you do need the iron then a liquid form tends to be better, or managing it with your diet if you've not been actually diagnosed as anaemic.
Otherwise I'd just stick with a pregnancy multivitamin or a separate folic acid and vitamin d supplement.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I've already had constipation this pregnancy so keen to avoid that! Got a midwife appt next week so I'll discuss alternatives. Thanks again.
