As it says on the title I'm looking for some advice. I am 27+3 weeks and a new time mummy. The movements have slowed down a little bit but I thought it was because I have been a lot busier at work. Today I have been doing next to nothing and movement has still been slow, still there but slow. Should I be worried? Also I have had a lot more discharge (sorry tmi) its clear and no foul smell so I'm guessing it can't be an infection. Do you think I should call the maternity ward or am I just being over paranoid?

Yes, you should call triage to be on the safe side

I went in a few times for reduced movements and even when they were really busy I was encouraged to always err on the paranoid side!

tinyme135 · 14/10/2015 15:04

They said if I have any questions or queries then to call but I feel like I'm being silly if I do.

They someone suggest laying on your side and drinking a very cold drink, if you don't feel baby move after an hour then go and see them. Deffo worth calling up though to see what they think.

Good luck.

I would definitely call, I always get increased discharge at different times. I'm 30 weeks at the minute and I've had a lot of discharge in the past few days.
I went to hospital last week over reduced movements and everything was fine, the staff were really helpful and didn't make me feel silly at all.
Put your mind at ease!

Good luck Flowers

I'm gonna see how it goes after an hour (as finished work now) if movement not improved I'm gonna call the midwife and see what she says.

Like pp has said, have a cold sugary drink and lie on your left side. If you're at all worried though call triage, they'd much rather you'd call them and there's nothing to worry about rather than leave it and you worry unnecessarily.

I done what you all said and he's kicking me like made making it hard for me to sleep (little devil) gonna monitor him though see if it's his regular routine or he is slowing down. I'm not as worried now

Good to hear he is kicking. If you are still worried phone your midwife :)

I had the same thing earlier this week - called the Midwifes at the Pregnancy Unit and they had me come in for a check (of course baby started moving as soon as they hooked me up to the machine!) but they said it is always best to call and they are happy to check you out whenever!
