Hi. Me again :)

I am 41+2 (or 40+9 however you want to put it XP) fudging massive anyway.. When I was 40+2 I had an attempted s+s (couldn't be done - Confused) so I had a deep cervical massage... Was told by midwife to expect bleeding etc. Nothing happened - nothing!!

I've tried eating more pineapple, bouncing, sex, etc I even tried writing down - baby come out - and nope... Not even a twinge.

I have another sweep for today at 10am so I am hoping things are going to go a bit more my way (i.e i have the stretch and sweep, my waters break there and then and baby is out 5 minutes later... wishful thinking so.... has anyone had a second stretch and sweep that directly lead to labour? baby still feels very very high up - it doesn't look like I have dropped a bit. Baby was 3/5 engaged at 40+2, this is my 2nd baby - 5th pregnancy - will be my 3rd labour - my obstetric history is interesting to say the least, so I know that this means nothing). I am legitimately going out of my mind with frustration. I just want him out now so I can give the guy a cuddle!! Hate seeing all of his stuff ready for him.

Had another attempted stretch and sweep

cervix is really high and tightly closed. Looks like he's definitely going to be born on the 16th... Midwife pretty much guaranteed it. Tried to cheer me up by saying that at least il know his birthday but its not what i wanted (i know i know.) Came out of her office in tears!! Dh is quite excited - he knows when his pat leave can start...

Hi double, I was contemplating starting a v similar thread asking if anybody has had success after their third! It's frustrating isn't it? I'm 31+4 today and having my third s+s this afternoon (first was 31+0 and second was 31+2). I had a bloody show after the first and plenty of cramps but nothing came of it. Absolutely nothing after the second one so I'm not feeling overly positive about the third!

Anyway just wanted to let you know you're not alone. Just remember that you'll have your lovely new baby here by the weekend! Smile

Thank you bluey - its so frustrating. I've been waiting for him for soooooo long and this is 100% my last pregnancy so it started to feel final a week ago. Honestly I'm never normally this impatient. I couldn't imagine having to go through a 3rd sweep and having no signs. I am not forward to the induction AT ALL - I labour fairly quickly so I'm just scared that its all going to go wrong quickly (things going wrong is what I always imagine after inductions thanks obem) have you got an induction date?? We could be induction buddies if its the 16th lol x

Totally with you, I feel like I've been pregnant forever!! Just back from sweep #3, had a different mw today and she was brutal but in a good way (not something I thought I'd be saying!!). How are you getting on, any symptoms since this morning?

My induction date is tomorrow as they don't like you to go further than 40+12 where I live. So this sweep was my last shot!

Yeah I know what you mean.. When my midwife was doing my sweep this morning she could tell it was hurting me but I was willing her on. Still No symptoms at all.. Just want to get to the 16th at 10am x hope All goes well for you tomorrow xxx

With my first I had two, neither worked and I was induced as waters were leaking and I was only 1cm. Witch my second I had four during early labour as I was stuck at 4cms, again no effect and waters needed breaking, went from 4cms to delivery within 3 hours. Then with my third I had 5 to try and help me progress from 2cms (36+6, 37, 37+4, 38, 38+6) then waters went at 39 and baby was born within 2 hours. Unfortunately if your cervix doesn't want to comply it won't. Best of luck :)

With my second, not witch

Hi double, hope all goes or is going ok today! Let us know hoe you get on? I'm feeling a bit jammy as I managed to avoid being induced, contractions started around midnight of the morning it was scheduled and DD was born 12 hours later!
