Hi all, this is my third pregnancy, so should be used to it all by now; however, I'm nervous I'm going to hear bad news tomorrow at my 12 week scan. With my first two pregnancies, I was extremely nauseous and sick until about 16 weeks, whereas I had very mild symptoms for the first few weeks, but feel pretty fine now and no real food aversions, which I had many with the two previous pregnancies.

Could it because baby is a different sex? Or should I be preparing for something else?

Anyone have a similar experience and all ok?

Thanks in advance.

All you can do is tolerate the fear as if it's a toothache or something, you can't get rid of it entirely, and neither you nor anyone here knows what's going on in your uterus, but you can keep breathing and just get through till the scan.
It is quite possible to have a different set of symptoms with each pregnancy. I'm sure all will be well. Flowers

In my first pregnancy I had no symptoms except high blood pressure - and worried constantly that there was something wrong. That was my healthy 9lb 8oz DS1. In my second pregnancy I was sick as a dog, right from the beginning through to about 14 weeks. Everyone said it must be a girl! It was my healthy 7lbs 15oz DS2. Two very different pregnancies, both boys!

This time round, I am 5.5 weeks pregnant, with high blood pressure again and no sickness (though perhaps a bit early for everything to set in!). I think all pregnancies are different, though that said, I'm not immune to the anxiety too...so I hope I can take my own advice! Wink

I really hope you can get some sleep tonight, I'm sure everything is ok. Best of luck and let us know how you get on xx

Good luck today

My pregnancies were also different in 1st trimester - no symptoms with DS, nauseous and food aversions with DD. Both fine.

Thank you all. Scan and baby all good :-)

Midwife did say she reckons it's a girl, but guess I'll find out for sure next year!
