I'm 31 weeks with dc2 and fecking huge! Put nearly 3 stone on this time so far- last time I put on 16 pounds which I lost within first fortnight.
How much did you put on and initially lose without trying and then how long/much effort to get the rest off?
I'm already daydreaming about not feeling like shit and actually being able to do some exercise.

Have put on 3 stone (lots of fluid too)
Found on my last two that the weight didn't really fall off until I finished breast feeding but each time managed to get back to ore pregnancy weight once breast feeding finished. I think my body always held onto a bit extra around the middle in reserve until bf finished. Am expecting same his time

I put on about 10lb, 8.5 of which was DS. I was back in my skinny jeans within a fortnight and within a month they were too big for me. I now weigh nearly a stone less than I did pre-pregnancy. The benefits of exercising up to the day before labour I guess, and also having a hungry baby who, at 18 months, is still a boob monster!

DC1 - Put on 4 stone. Lost 2 stone within first couple of months, a third stone slowly over the next year. Never lost the final stone, but I was too skinny tobegin with, so it suited me.

DC2 - Put on 2.5 stone, lost it all, but slowly - took about 18 months.

Last time I started at roughly 8 stone and put on just over 2 stone. I was fairly back to normal within a couple of months, although tummy needed toning.

This time round, I'm 9 weeks in and I have no idea if I've put weight on because I don't weigh myself. Will keep an eye on what the midwife records. I'll be exercising throughout pregnancy this time so don't know if that will make a difference - we'll see!

A lot of that weight will be water because after each pregnancy I always suffered badly from night sweats.

I gained 5kg (10.1lbs), lost 6.5kg (almost a stone) the day I gave birth and now, 2 weeks post partum I'm 3kg (4.4lbs) below my pre pregnancy weight.

No exercise and not really watching what I eat, either. Breastmilk is calorifically expensive.

3st with the DS1...took me 4 years to lose.....first came off easily, 2nd took some work.....last one took me nearly 3 years...now pregnant with DC2 and at 7 weeks already putting weight on because im usually a really active person with a healthy diet.....all I want to eat is carbs and im that tired I barely move after work lol I swore I wouldn't do the same this time and end up like a whale but so far that's what is happening!

Very similar to blibblobblub I was around 9 stone pre pregnancies , weighed about 10st11 just before birth then weighed about 9st10 after birth and then back down to 9 stone within a month or two.

Nothing specific in order to get back to normal size , it was just running around after baby and second time around toddler and baby.
My babies were both good sizes 8lb so was literally just weight of baby plus fluids in my weight gain I think.

I put on two stone with my first. Lost it all very quickly (about 3 weeks) BUT that's because he was stillborn so I basically ate nothing.

I'm 36 weeks now and have put on 1.5 stone - excuse is that I got pregnant 6 weeks after my first!

flambola Flowers I'm so sorry- wishing you all the best for this pregnancy xx

I didn't gain anything, after the birth of dd I was lighter, but I had severe hg. I gained in the months following her birth because all of a sudden I could eat
