I am 33 weeks tomorrow, being induced at 37. I am going to a wedding next week and having guests over. If only you muster it up when you needed it.

It's going to take me a full day to get the energy to pamper myself and a full day to have s tidy (it's not really that bad) but argh making a cup of tea is an effort these days.

When did you bloom, nest?

Never! Grinenjoy the wedding!

Queazy · 10/10/2015 16:11

I'm 29 weeks and waiting to bloom still. I'm starting to feel 3rd trimester tiredness sinking in and I'm enormous!!

Doublebubblebubble · 10/10/2015 16:23

I've been nesting since about 27 weeks - I am now 40+6... I have never bloomed - jealous of ANYONE who has x

MrsGentlyBenevolent · 10/10/2015 16:39

Is blooming actually a thing? I thought it was one of those urban myths, like spicy food brings on labour. As for nesting, really wish that was a 'thing' in everyday life. I don't think my poor body could stand a 'sudden urge to clean', it would close down from shock Grin.

I remember nesting on ds - painted his bedroom quite late on
Having spurts of it it now at 28w
Blooming - felt kind of nice between 24-27w and everyone commented how well I looked, now my sleeping has gone to pot, dark circles and skin has started breaking out
Oh and I feel huge all of a sudden, I really look ready to go Hmm

Enjoy the wedding, I'm sure you will feel lovely once you're all flamed
Up Star

I'm 34 weeks.

I haven't bloomed, but my hair is AMAZING Grin

And my idea of nesting is to increase the hours my cleaner is doing Blush

CoffeeAndOranges · 10/10/2015 21:04

34 weeks here too. Feel fooking massive and can't recall 'blooming' at all, think it's too late now Grin skin is marginally better than it was I suppose and people tell me I look great but that's generally a polite thing to say to a pregnant lady. Certainly haven't felt wonderful at all.

Nesting...nah, still waiting for that, too! Would love a clean, tidy, baby-ready house, just want someone else to do it! Finish work in 2 weeks so hoping to find a short burst of energy each day enough to do something. Ain't gonna happen before then!

Llouh · 11/10/2015 00:08

I'm 38 weeks. I'm a mess and so is my house but I keep telling myself 'any day now....' Haha

Dachshund · 11/10/2015 08:07

I haven't 'bloomed' and I'm 35 weeks... have had terrible skin throughout!

As for nesting that kicked in when our flat are moved out leaving a nursery shaped room to be decorated - I had more energy then and blitzed the whole flat. The drive to continue is still there but the energy has now waned so we've got halfway there but still loads of little odd jobs to do that I'm dreading...

Dachshund · 11/10/2015 08:08

flat *mate that should say

TinyMonkey · 11/10/2015 11:03

I was up in a step ladder last December washing the outside of my windows two days before my c-section! Fuck knows why, the baby didn't care. So, 39 weeks for me.

FizzlePops · 11/10/2015 13:01

I didn't bloom but did nest like a good'un. I spent most of my last weeks at work fantasising about decluttering and cleaning jobs I was going to do and had a little list of every thing I wanted to do. If it wasn't attached to anything it went in my washing machine. This was from about 32 weeks to due date. My house has never been so lovely since.

WiIdfire · 11/10/2015 13:03

Never bloomed, never nested. But then, never went into labour either, had to be induced at 40+12.

Onetoetree · 11/10/2015 23:02

Do you think blooming is a "blooming myth" then. I just booked to get my hair, nails and make up done, I may aswell treat myself.

I decided to force this nesting think my dh said this isn't nesting its bossing me about ha ha, oh tootsie I only wish I could afford a cleaner, but dh will have to do lol.
