Migraines

Migraines are the worst.... Even worse when your also feeling sicky in your first trimester and can't take anything for them. I've been prescribed co-dydramol but they take the edge off. Paracetamol doesn't even touch it. All that seems to help is a day in bed, and that's no use when I have to be at work. Any advice? Home remedies? I'm really struggling now. I basically live with a migraine cool and smooth patch on my head. I'm now 13 weeks, someone please tell me they will stop soon?!?! Confused

Wish I could help, maybe ask to be referred to someone who knows more about migraines?
Did you get these before pregnancy?
I have had a headache for 2 days, nothing is touching it, walking even talking makes it worse so I totally understand how you feel.
I'm 25 weeks, but like you staying in bed is a no no I have other children to care for.

I'm in the same way as you ladies, I've had a terrible headache for the last 4 days and i'm terrified it's going to turn into a migraine as I can't bear the thought of coping with one without any medication. I read on here to take a very hot shower so this morning I took 2 a few hours apart and it has taken the edge off a bit, enough for me to go about my day. I'm just hoping that works in future as well as paracetamol doesn't touch it.

Never tried a hot shower, might when husband comes home.
Dont help that my 12 month old is not sleeping at night, which I think is contributing to the headaches.

Thanks for your reply's ladies! I've tried the showers but I always feel a bit faint. I got the flu jab on Monday and have had a sore head ever since, it's gets stronger and turns into a migraine then calms down into a normal sore head again. I'm also really struggling to keep any food down which really doesn't help as I just have no energy. I've done nothing but lazy around all day and feel so bleh!! I was really hoping this stage would pass but it seems to be getting gradually worse. ConfusedBlush I'm going to give the doctors a ring first thing on Monday for an appointment as I just don't feel right at all. X
