Hi, ive recently done multiple home tests and every single one has given me a faint positive then ive done a clear blue digital test and its given me a "not pregnant" result.. I'd roughly be about 2 weeks pregnant is this normal? Should i wait a little and test again? I so want another baby . Perhaps im just going crazy

am i pregnant??!!??

Looks like a positive to me!

Looks positive to me too. You are probably just testing too early. Test in a couple of days in the morning with a digital and you'll get a positive result

I don't trust those tests, they are notorious for evaps. I would get a FRER and use FMU and see if it's positive. If there is a line I would hold off using a divi until I had missed my period.

Good luck! Xx

Sorry to sound stupid but what is a "FRER"? And "FMU"?

Something to get your mind round is that pregnancies are dated from LMP (let menstrual period), so two weeks would mean around the date of ovulation and no test will show that early.

The 'early response' kits (FRER being a brand) can sometimes respond accurately just before the 4 week mark (ie just before you period is due) and others from 4 weeks.

FMU is (I think ) referring to your first morning pee (but isn't widely used for that in places where hospitals use that acronym for their Fetal Medicine Unit).

Thank you so much AuntieStella. . I shall give it a few days and test again!! Not getting my hopes up just yet!

I got my positive two weeks after conception as that was when my period was due.

I used the same test as you. I have read on here that people have had negatives on the clear blue digital but positives on the non digital tests. I would wait a couple of days and test again using another test. I used my first morning urine to test, I had read that holding it in for a bit would make it stronger and easier to test, so I did that.

Whoknewitcouldbeso · 09/10/2015 08:14

Sorry, FRER is First Response Early Result test and FMU is first morning urine.

I did about 4 pregnancy tests and all came back positive. Did one at the hospital and it was negative so they did a blood test which was positive. I had drunk a whole bottle of lemonade so I put it down to that. At this early stage it's best to do first thing. Or go to the doc and ask for a blood test.

I would say that you are if your getting positive. I think that a test is more likely to give a false negative than a false positive. I had a very faint positive 2 days after my missed period

Dixiechick17 · 09/10/2015 23:09

Noticed you said on another thread that your period is not for another two weeks and that conception was the day after your last period? Ovulation is usually approx 14 days after the first day of your last period dependent on yotir cycles.

ejclementine · 10/10/2015 16:56

I had the Clear Blue digital and the line ones. The digital gave me a (false) negative and the line one I did the next day was identical to yours. I'm now 28 weeks.
