Someone said to me that you should use unscented toiletries when baby is born... is this true?

On the baby, yes. Though they shouldn't need any toiletries for the first month or two, just water, not even wipes.

On yourself it's fine - obviously don't slather yourself in scented body lotion just before BFing though!
