I am 5 weeks +2 and today, although I'm not nauseas or vomiting, I'm just starting to get the bloated feeling and this being my second pregnancy I understand this to mean that actual nausea and vomiting are just round the corner!

Does anyone have any positive stories about their second/subsequent pregnancies being a little bit better in terms of sickness and nausea? Even if was only slightly better? (Clutching at straws....)

I'm terrified this could be the beginning of a very difficult 6 weeks! Need some positive vibes!

Not so much with my 2nd but all of my pregnancies have been different.
#1 vomming 3-5 days, most days, for 12 weeks.
#2 mostly the same.
#3 hyperemesis. Bloody awful. Hospitalised a number of times between 6-14 weeks for rehydration.

Was dreading #4 but I barely vommed at all. Mostly just nauseous.

Now on #5 (7+3) and while I feel really sicky I haven't vommed yet and it's mostly helped by grazing and eating polo's.

Just because you've had it rough once doesn't mean it will be again Smile
Good luck!

Mine have all been different too,
Dc1 I was sick all day every day, actually vomiting 3 or 4 times a day up until the day he was born.
Dc2 I was sick and nauseous up until about 28 weeks when it stopped until a week before she was born.
Dc3 I was very nauseous until about 17 weeks, but was only sick once or twice a week, which when you've had a pregnancy like dc1s was much improved!
I hope you aren't too poorly!

Thanks ladies, it's good to hear other people's experience!

I too had hyperemesis in my first pregnancy and was admitted to hospital 3 times in 12 weeks, I feel for anyone going through it and know how crippling even just nausea can be!

I really really hope I don't have it so severe this time!
