Has anyone noticed their IBS has got alot worse in pregnancy? Im really struggling with it at the moment. Admittedly my work load is whole lot busier lately, but ive never noticed my IBS get worse in busy times at work before. I can only put it down to the pregnancy exacerbating my symptoms. I feel incredibly stressed and anxious all the time. Im 21 weeks. Wishing you all healthy happy pregnancies! xxx

Hi op, mines been bad throughout pregnancy. I don't think mine has been helped by iron tablets. A couple of weeks to go, then hopefully it will get better

I had a lot of stomach cramps. Midwife suggested to stop taking the separate folic acid and vitamin d tablets i was taking and gave me some nhs multivitamin ones (similar to pregnacare) which has helped a lot

Mine was so bad in the first trimester they thought it was an ectopic pregnancy and sent me for scans. I was doubled over in pain. I found I became really sensitive to foods - shreddies, beans and all forms of ryvita. I'd been a bit intolerant to them years ago but it came back with a vengence. Sorted itself out at about 14 weeks and if I cut out those foods.

Thanks for your replies. Seems im an extreme case considering im 21 weeks and no sign of it calming down. Ive always been a stressy person though, so i got my yoga DVD out last night which ive been telling myself to start for weeks! I know that will make a hell of a difference to my breathing and general wellbeing. Im taking a multivitamin which ive decided to take every other day as i think that may be contributing to the probs. Feeling alot calmer today. Baby is kicking ALOT!

Yes! I've just posted about a related problem. Pre-pregnancy I was unable to sleep on my left side (my stomach would start churning), but now I'm 21 weeks (snap!) I can't sleep on my right side either, keep waking in the night feeling sick :(

Mine has definitely worsened due to pregnancy and craving the trigger foods I normally avoid (gluten rich bread, baked beans, etc). I'm 22 weeks and thought it was getting better, until I was doubled over in pain at the weekend after eating cabbage with a roast dinner!
