Help! My skin is AWFUL!!

Help/ advice needed please!!
I'm 4 months pregnant and my skin is awful!! Patches of redness on one side of my nose and nose in general getting small white spots and looks red, patch on side of chin and very small bit on forehead. Sometimes get small white heads there too. It looks awful!
Anyone have a suggestion for skin products? I tried a facial a few weeks ago and because my skin is so sensitive at the mo it made things worse :-(
Wondering if it could be a mild case of rosacea :-(
Help please as it's really making me feel embarrased and getting me down x

Between 14-26 weeks my skin Snead awful red and sore really bad acne and very greasy. I didn't find anything that helped just stopped wearing make up and let it pass which it eventually did. I get the odd break out now at 31 weeks but not as bad I think it's something to do with the second trimester lol. Maybe someone will be able to give u an idea of a product u could use.

I have rosacea OP, it started around the time I found out I was pregnant. Didn't have it in any previous pregnancy. It's on both my cheeks.

I'm using a cream called Dermalex Rosacea Cuperose and it helps a bit.

Thing is, skincare is so personal and a bit trial and error. I like the Ren clay cleanser - it seemed to help clear up my pregnancy skin. Also a mild acid toner, like the Clinique extra mild one or FAB pads or pixi glow tonic. I recommend Caroline Hirons blog for an idea of how to revamp a skincare routine.

But your skin should improve anyway. Mine was bad in both pregnancies until aroun 25 weeks, then gradually cleared up. It's the hormones and not much you can do about that...

Newfamily, I totally feel your pain. From about week 6 onwards it felt like every pore on my neck, back and face decided to errupt and I now look like a spotty teenager when I don't have my makeup on . It really has been getting me down, to the point of tears on occasion - I want my glowing pregnancy skin to arrive!

I'm now at week 16 and have noticed a some improvement and have been really disciplined about no touching my face. I had my foundation matched at Boots No7 and there is a matching concealer which has helped to hide the worst of the spots. I then make sure I thoroughly cleanse every evening and morning and change my pillowcase often too which I think is helping.

I was literally logging in to write the same kind of post. I suffer with bad skin anyway and have in the past been in antibiotics which cleared it up to the point where I had good skin and didn't need the antibiotics anymore. Since becoming pregnant it has come back with a vengeance. It is so depressing and sore. My doctor won't prescribe antibiotics as I am pregnant (which is fair enough) but it is really getting me down too. Not only am I fat I also have the skin of a monster (that is what it feels like anyway) it's all worth it though but still hard (and painful).

My skin was so amazing with my last pregnancy. With this one...awful. Apparently it's because it's a girl and all her egg production and hormones effect the mother? Don't know if that's true. So whatever I do can't help.

This happened to me for a couple of weeks and to be frank I just stopped washing my face so much and it improved (i.e. only washed it once a day). My skin is dry naturally though, so it made a bit more sense.

I had a really spotty chest too - but that cleared up by the end of the second trimester.

Pregnancy is just endless glamour!
