Hi Folks

I'm 5 weeks pregnant , 1st one. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this mild pain on either side near hip bone. Its only when I'm stretching or bending. Im teffified it means ectopic Sad

I'm 6 was and 4 days and I've had/got this. I had a reassurance scan today and all was fine. It's ligaments softening due to hormones and preparing to stretch to accommodate your bump.

Ectopic pain gets worse over a reasonably short period of time I think.

*weeks not was

Sounds like round ligament pain. It can be surprisingly sore but it's harmless, just everything stretching down there.

I also had a (harmless but sore) cyst on one side which gave me some sharp pain while it lasted.

If the pain worsens, or you get a temperature, then do contact your doc quickly.

I had this for the last two weeks, I too was a bit panicked about ectopic. I went for a reassurance scan this morning, and there was a sac nestled in my uterus, so turns out it was just ligament pains. Keep an eye on it, but I imagine it's just normal annoying pains

Yep I have this, doctors have reassured me it's pretty normal. Am 6 weeks xx

I had this until 6 weeks - went to doctor and was told I had strained a muscle in my hip. Told the midwife about it last week (9 weeks) and she said absolutely nothing to worry about, just ligaments stretching!
