Right then anyone got any tips on home induction for the Nov thread please

There are a few of us left and getting contractions galore,shows etc but no action
any tips very greatly received

an enormous plate of calves liver, two weeks overdue this worked for me combined with sex..

has bethbe had her baby yet?

also, no sex if waters have gone

and babies come when they are ready!!

DO NOT TRY CASTOR OIL TO INDUCE LABOUR - CAN GIVE YOU RAGING PAINFUL DIAORRHEA AND YOU MIGHT END UP LABOURING ON THE TOILET.

All the contractions are doing something

when it is your first baby..the cervix has to efface before it dilates...so all those contractions are thinning it , ready to open!

don;t be disheartened !

the liver does reappear all over the bed too!

Well... gentle bouncing on a huge exercise ball started my contractions off, I've been induced 3 times and my fourth was spontaneous (sp?), I put it down to the ball!. Hope you have a very quick labour and a lovely healthy baby too!

'no, i haven;t had the baby..i would have told you if i had! thanks for calling!'

Why Pineapple? I've never heard of this.

there is an enzyme in pineapple that can help to ripen the cervix. however, you have to eat something like 7 fresh ripe pineapples to get the effect....can you imagine the hearburn........

You must have a large stomach to eat 7 large pineapples. I could eat 1 maybe 2 on a good day, but 7.

i had pineapple last friday then had heartburn all friday nite and sat too now i dont like pineapple at all and the thought of ot makes me want to chuck.

I tried everything . Finally ate a whole fresh pineapple. One hour later in labour...

Ohhh I'm sooo sory you are overdue it is a horrible wait. I'm also going to be horrible and say that for me, nothing worked, we tried everything, sex the most and nipple stim, currys, bouncing, walking, all the foods and I hate to admit it but with my first I even tried castor oil. lulu is right that one is not a good one to try. Didn't labour on toilet but didn't get off it much for a while. errrrr Was 10 days late with first but it did happen naturally in the end after we gave up trying. dd was 12 days late and induced we still tried everything except the castor oil with her. I personally believe that babys will only come when they are ready! Good luck though the end is in sight. xxx
