Dull ache and heavy legs at 14 weeks

I am at 14 weeks of my first pregnancy (an IVF one so I'm a tad paranoid). I have had a sort of dull ache, a bit like when my period is due, and heavy legs for a couple of days and am worried it may mean a miscarriage. Also some twinges. Has anyone else experienced this at this stage? Any advice? (am off work, lying down with blanket watching a film).

Firstly congratulations on your pregnancy.

Everything is begining to pull up out of your pelvis now, so there is a lot of stretching going on. I am 16 weeks pg and have had a lot of niggles, twinges and general discomfort, I remember the same with dd and ds about this time, I'm sure you will be fine, the chances of miscarrige after 12 weeks is very small. I take it you have had no bleeding?

Give your midwife or Dr a call for re-assurance.

Hope you are feeling better, Dragthing. I'm 14 wks pg and had the same symptoms as you yesterday. Started when walking around the shops, so got home pretty quickly and lay on the couch all night. I've taken it easy today and feel better. I agree with MereNoel - think its our muscles moving about and stetching. I had a m/c at 8 wks a year ago and I'm happy to say that this pg feels totally different. Look after yourself.
