Scan anxiety!

Getting a 20 week anomaly scan done (standard here in the US to do a scan at 20 weeks, not 12 like in the UK).

Going KIND OF CRAZY here worrying about things that could be wrong. I've had multiple miscarriages and this scan is tripping me the eff out. I need someone to hold my hand, tell me they were anxious before their scan, and everything turned. out. fine.

...Please? Sorry to sound completely gone mentally...

Completely get your 'scanxiety' after having 2 mcs myself. I am now 18+5 and had plenty of reassurance scans in the first 12wks. The first few were terrifying and before one of them I had a 'feeling' it was going to be bad news but i was wrong and, touch wood, everything is looking ok so far. I have my 20wk scan next Friday.
Good luck - I'm sure it will be fine. Is this your first scan then?

Anxious before both my 12 and 20 week scans. Both were fine. Baby is fine. My 20 week scan picked up placenta previa. Which is good, rather than me having it and it not being picked up! If the scan did show something it's a good thing that it's been picked up at that time, rather than waiting until birth etc. The majority of scans are totally, totally normal!

Had the scan, all is well. Feel very silly now about all the anxiety! Let this be a lesson, if you're reading this and feeling the same anxiety... :) A bad feeling isn't the same thing as a bad outcome.

Now I have to hang out long enough to reassure a couple other women when they feel this way!
