Am I pregnant? // ectopic pregnancy?

12 days ago I started having pain in my lower left abdomen. At the beginning I thought it would go away, I called my gynaecologist and her advice was to wait a few days. However, the pain is not going away. I feel nauseous and dizzy (I never feel like that.), I am just not the same person. Usually I am very active but at the moment I am going straight to bed when I come home from work.

I had a negative pregnancy test a week ago, I also had a blood test, but I am not sure if it was tested for hgc levels too. It was just to see if I have any inflammation and so on. My last period was eight weeks ago, but I have light bleeding. I am sure it is not my period, as I have very heavy periods and now it's only a little bit. I had a MRI yesterday and they couldn't see anything.

Could it be an ectopic pregnancy? If I wouldn't know it better, from the symtombs I feel like I am pregnant. I would appreciate any advise and if it's worth bothering my doctor again. The pain is horrible, but the doctors can't find anything that could cause it.

I think it's worth retesting as you took the last one a week ago.
Ectopic pregnancies can be very serious, so hugely important to rule this out ASAP.
Sorry you're having such a worrying time.

Hi it could be ectopic or possibly an ovarian cyst I had one rupture at the start of my pregnancy and for months before falling pregnant had agonising pain they kept saying was constipation which they now know was wrong. I would go to a&e to get checked possibly get an ultrasound scan aswell to check ovaries and uterus

Good luck

Thanks a lot, they found two little ovarian cysts with the MRI yesterday, but they are very small and on the right side. The doctor said it shouldn't cause me discomfort.

I am going crazy at the moment, I am clearly unwell but the doctors can't find something and they treat my like a hypochondriac.

I do think you need checked no matter how small a cyst is if it's going to rupture u will have pain I have one left in my left ovary and still have pain. May I also heard my cysts are in left ovary but I had all my pain on the right up until it ruptured where bit turned to complete agony all over my tummy chest back and private areas and as I was pregnant o obviously assumed ruptured ectopic. I would advise if you are sore check for a temperature and if you are in alot of pain go to a&e and don't let it go I wish I had of npersosted in getting them to find out the origin of my pain earlier as I could have lost my baby when the cyst ruptured x

I do have a temperature. I have a copper coil, so obviously not TTC. I wish this pain would stop, it's going on for 12 days now and I really lose the will to live.

Seeing you have a temperature and are in pain please go to a&e you do not sound well. Also the coil could have moved out of place or be stuck in uterine wall u need to get checked with that amount of pain x
