Need some advice please..... I woke up the early hours of Saturday morning will crampy type pains & they continued on and off until I got up for the day. It felt a little like how I occasionally felt when I was pregnant with my first so I did an Internet cheapy pg test and it was positive. Pains continued all day and by the evening they were agony but I did a clear blue digital that said 2-3 weeks.

Sunday I felt fine but yesterday I had lower back pain, was hot/ cold, light headed and headachy. I woke up this morning and felt fine so I did two internet tests which were both negative and then clear blue which said I was 1-2 weeks....any advice?

I should also mention that my periods haven't returned from when I had my daughter 19 months ago but then they did return (or so I thought) a fortnight ago.

I'm driving myself mental....could someone explain to me what is going on??

Thank you

It could possibly be a chemical pregnancy if you were getting strong positives and then going to negatives.

Did you do both sets of tests with first morning urine?

Sorry hit post by accident as my 7 month old jumped on my phone.

Hope you're ok. It's a horrible limbo time at that point of pregnancy. I had a chemical pregnancy but I only ever got very faint positives and a 1-2 weeks pregnant with that one.

I hope it works out for you and it's just silly tests and hormone levels xx

Thanks for your response scatty. I didn't use first urine, I just did the test on the off chance but I really wish I hadn't. I've run out of clear blue now so I guess I'll wait until tomorrow and use first urine although not feeling optimistic Sad

If the first test was with first morning urine and the second test wasn't then that could well explain it.

I had horrible cramps with all four of my pregnancies - the first two I lost but the second two are bouncing about my living room. It's definitely not over yet. Everything crossed for you.

Sorry I don't have any advice for you I just wanted to say I hope everything is ok! xx

It could be a chemical pregnancy, it could be early pregnancy.

The thing is with a mixture of positive and negative tests, feeling unwell and pain, I do think you need to speak to somebody about ruling out an ectopic pregnancy. It's not the most likely scenario I know, but some of your symptoms could indicate it as a possibility and I do think as a precaution you should take medical advice sooner rather than later.

I'm not sure how helpful this is - but when I had an early miscarriage (5.5 weeks), it started with mild cramping and back ache in the morning, and 2-3 hours later it was severe cramping, and pretty soon after that I was bleeding, and it was obvious immediately what was going on.

With my second, so far successful pregnancy (15 weeks) in those early weeks I had a lot of cramping, but I noticed that the difference this time was that it came and went. So it's reassuring to know you felt fine in between the cramps and haven't had any bleeding. But I know everyone's different, so yeah if you're worried try and see someone - get a couple of blood tests so they can see if HCG is increasing.

Good luck, hope everything works out! x

In my early pregnancy I had bad pains in my back and middle like period pains I had this on and off for weeks and have a healthy 8 week old baby

Scattymum101 · 30/09/2015 08:42

Hope you're ok this morning x

bugsyburge · 30/09/2015 09:52

Thank you for thinking of me scatty. I feel ok today, I did a cheapy pg test this morning and it had the lightest positive I've ever seen in my life so I think it's not looking good but I will hold off and test again at the weekend to be sure. I'd already made an appt at the gp for next Tuesday so I'll still go to that and discuss it with her.
