Which changing bag has everyone got? I wouldn't know a good one from a naff one!

It won't matter. You'll be totally in love. You'll only have eyes for that baby. I went home with a paper bag! Grin Mind you, I've had 4 so call me jaded.

Actually the free one you get from Boots is really good! You have to join the parenting club & buy a pack of Pampers to get one.
Otherwise just get something that is easy to wear (ones that slip off your shoulders are a pain) and fits underneath your buggy. A normal rucksack is probably fine tbh.

Ah ok, I know this is a really stupid question but what needs to go in the bag? Just nappies, wipes, cream?

I had DD in the sling a lot so just used a rucksack. Nappies, wipes, change of clothes (them), clean top (you - DD always vomited when I was miles from home). When they get a bit bigger, a small toy and snacks/sippy cup. Phone and keys.

I had a cheap record bag with lots of pockets for dses 1 and 2. I got lots of compliments on it but it was only from a market stall.
With ds3 I didn't bother, I just stuffed wipes, nappies, nappy bag and fold up changing mat into my normal bag.
All you need for a day out is 3-5 nappies, wipes, sudocreme in a trial size pot (if you use it), fold up changing mat and possibly nappy sacks if you use them.
Expensive changing bags are just another one of those things marketed at expectant parents that you really don't have to have.

Be happy with your choice you may be using it for years - depending on if you have further children.

I just use a large handbag that I had before. In it I have the babies items above; as well as the following for the elder sibling; change of outfit, snacks [rice cakes/breadsticks], nappies [larger size], wipes [they share] a few small toys. I also have my purse, keys in it. When the baby no longer needs a change bag I will have used it for almost 5 years.
