Hello! I'm new to mumsnet and would love some advice. Myself and my OH have been trying to concieve for ten months! I've had cramps for the last week like I'm on my period, I'm exhausted and my breasts are sore as well as being almost a cup size bigger, I'm 2 days late but still negative tests. I'm starting to lose hope but having crazy pregnancy symptoms. Anyone been in the same situation? Thank you

My tests never worked until I was about two weeks overdue. But that was ten years ago and tests may be better now, I don't know. Hormones can be low level at start and tests are not always accurate. I even bled for each of the first three months - albeit lighter but not amazingly so. How I knew I was pregnant was my sense of smell. It went bloodhound sensitive. After that everything else I started to notice like tender breasts etc. everyone is different which makes it exciting and confusing. Good luck to you.

Pregnancy symptoms are almost identical to PMS.

Which tests are you using? Maybe try a First Response as they are really sensitive. Are you tracking ovulation? If you're 14 or more days post ovulation and getting negatives it might be PMS as tits says. This site tells you the % of women who will get a positive test at a given day post ovulation www.countdowntopregnancy.com/pregnancy-test/dpo-chart.php?dpo=14

I had similar symptoms to you but every test I did was negative. Went to docs, did a test there and it was positive! Give it a few more days and test again Smile

Try the TTC forum, lots of ladies going through the same thing right now!

I waited a least a week after my period due date - it was a anxious wait but less painful than doing countless tests and getting negatives.
I also tracked my ovulation like suggested by carshare above which helped enormously. Dampens the mood when you have to schedule in sex but if it works do it! Even did the whole legs in the air afterwards for 15mins, haha! Probably a myth but I'll do it again next time.
Lots of luck x

I did the same as Sophia. Also did the 'try to keep it inside' thing after DTD - we conceived after an impromptu DTD, after which we immediately went into the garden and cut a massive hedge Wink

I had symptoms every month for two years, except the month I really did get a bfp. Mind does weird things...
