Need some advice please. Been having shooting pains off and on this afternoon 'down there'. They last a millisecond and aren't that uncomfortable but are definitely noticeable. They also feel like they are on the outside if you get what I mean? Looking for some reassurance and other people's experiences really as that wonderful Dr Google tells me I should be having these much later on (and pregnancy scares the s* out of me as it is)...

I've been having stabby vag since 18 weeks. Mine are quite painful but don't last long.

Did you get it checked noarmani? Sensible me is saying 'no cramps, no blood, baby kicking, roll with it', irrational me (who unfortunately rules nowadays) is already panicking.

My midwife said it's just ligaments stretching and wasn't worried at all.

No useful advice but 'fanny daggers' made me laugh because that's exactly what they are! I remember these later in last pregnancies. If worried speak to MW. Could it be uti? Probably just stretching though as pp stated x

I'm 20 weeks and keep getting a dull ache in my vagina and pressure in my lower abdomen. I was so concerned I had my cervix length checked and all is fine. Baby kicking and happy. I'm quite uncomfortable though so that's not so great.

I do have a low lying placenta and a fibroid that's sitting above my cervix so we aren't sure if the aching is to do with that.

I remember having fanny daggers in the first tri and input that down to ligaments stretching.

I had those (great term, btw) from around 19 weeks to third tri. Was checked several times for various other things, but it was all good. Doc put it down to ligaments stretching for me too.

I went and got checked this morning. All fine, no uti. Midwife said she was '100% sure' it was ligament pain and said I'd most likely have other things going on too if it was more sinister. So glad I've found some others who have them, I was starting to think I was on my own!

I'm on my third and had these pains in all pregnancies. It's just pressure from the baby and stretching of the ligaments. Can feel scary if it's your first timr but it's just the baby growing bigger and heavier x
