Hi all, am going to a baby and toddler show tomorrow. Not necessarily intending to buy much as only 17 weeks pregnant but if there is a good deal on something I might. My question is about combined buggies/carry cot and car seats. Are they a good buy or is it better to get all 3 items separately? Many thanks.

It really depends on the price of the bundle. Prices vary by £100s for a travel system depending on where you buy it so it's worth checking some prices before you go. The kiddicare website is quite competitively priced as is winstanleys pram world. High St retailers are more expensive but it's easier to return for repairs.

Ps it's always worth haggling at trade shows/fairs especially if you know what a good price is. Normally the sales people have a bit of discretion about discounts.

Hi,

Thanks postereh. Just got back from the baby show and we did find a more high end travel system at a discounted price so that is our buggy, carry cot and car seat sorted now. :-)

Hi butterfly

I am going to the show in a couple of weeks. Do you recommend it?
Apart from the furniture, we haven't bought anything yet.

Do they have good deals?

Oysterbabe · 27/09/2015 11:19

The one we wanted was £750 in John Lewis and £670 from Kiddisave. If you see anything you like I'd whip your phone out and see how cheap you can find it. We got a carrycot, pushchair, cat seat package and I think it worked out cheaper.

Wow that sounds like a great deal.

Do you mind if I ask which one you went for?

I am torn between Silvercross and the Urbo2.

We have the Cossato Ooba. So pretty and it comes with a really nice changing bag too.

What's the car seat safety like oyster?

Oysterbabe · 27/09/2015 22:29

It has a 5 point harness, head hugger and complies with all European regulations. That's about as much as I know Smile
