Well i need a bit of help,
I had a proper period on 27th July and then another on on the 10th August 2 weeks later, I haven't had any period since them two times, my periods aren't normally irregular, but we have been ttc. Ive done test after test but said negative (were cheap test)? So what are your thoughts ? I am going to buy a non cheap test soon, but I am so inpatient Grin I really want another baby

I love these threads ... pee on your computer and we'll tell you Grin

CarrotVan · 23/09/2015 14:48

Wait until you're a week late and test again. No one in the Internet can give you a sensible answer. And take folic acid just in case

brookeberry · 23/09/2015 14:48

ten don't be cheeky!! Grin. Go get a decent test asap, and good luck!

mumsrthebest · 23/09/2015 15:02

If I'm honest I don't think an expensive test will make much difference. With both my pregnancies I used tests from the pound shop and they were just as accurate. I also did them too early so it came as negative but then held fire for several days after my period due date and it came back positive. Hang in there xx

Battleshiphips2 · 23/09/2015 15:11

Don't think the price of a test makes much difference. I got a home bargains test that gave me a faint + 2 days before my period was due. The day after my period was a really dark line. Try again in a few days.

Junosmum · 23/09/2015 15:12

Price of the test makes no difference. Get a few cheap ones and pee on it first thing in the morning.

pinkje · 23/09/2015 15:12

If you have not had a period since 10 August then I think you WILL be pregnant. That was, what, 6 weeks ago?

TenForward82 · 23/09/2015 15:49

Brooke I know, I know Grin I understand the hope and excitement, but really, what if we all said "YOU'RE DEFINITELY PREGGO" and she's not? I'd feel awful. Asking people to predict is pretty inaccurate science. Unfortunately it's not always as simple as no period=baby.

OP, go buy a decent test and try again. There's nothing we can tell you. Good luck!

Ten,,, I actually chuckled at ur post,
I was expecting someone to say something daft lol, and I will buy some tests and will see the outcome is, I am hoping its pos, but if it is i will be very on edge as Ive had 3 mc's so
Anyway thanks everyone,

Grin I'm still picturing someone peeing on their computer. Maybe that would work, heehee!!

chocolate I've had 3 mcs too and it's 4th time lucky for me (so far). You can certainly have a successful pregnancy after mc as so many people on here can testify, but I know too well how they make you very, very nervous. Very good luck to you, it's all possible. Smile

Ilovechocolate111 · 23/09/2015 20:48

Btw can anyone figure out my periods or when they should of been? Xx

Was the period on 10th August quite light? it could have been implantation spotting. However by now you should have got a result on the tests, even cheap ones. Having said that some people don't get positives for ages. If you're still getting negative tests and no period in a few days you could always try your GP for a blood test - that will be definitive

Also even if you have regular periods normally, there can be all sorts of reasons for them suddenly getting irregular. I was 28 days my whole life, until age 34 when they started ranging from 21 days to 34. Had hormones checked and everything was fine, I guess it just starts happening. Stress and changes like moving house or going on holiday can also affect ovulation and cycles. Have you had all your hormones etc tested - they should definitely do this after repeat miscarriage

Good luck OP, hope you get the news you want :)

Cherryblossomsinspring · 23/09/2015 23:56

If the 10th of Aug was the start of your last period than I think its unlikely you are pregnant. It should definitely be clearly showing up on a test by now. Having said that, stranger things have happened but just be prepared that it is unlikely.

Do you sometimes have irregular periods? I suspect your last period went haywire and you are due your next around now ish? Do another test in a week BUT there is nothing to say you haven't actually caught the most recent ovulation and are just too early to show a positive. Fingers crossed.

Ilovechocolate111 · 24/09/2015 16:13

Hey all, thanks for the posts, I gave birth in December and Ive had no hormone checks, I could rely on my periods being 28day or near that anyway, I did a test this morning and said negative, When should I do another test?
But my periods this couple of months have been all to pot, and have all been light, and they are normally heavy for a few days? Im confused that if im not preg then why haven't I came on? Many thanks xx

Hi, as I said earlier there can be many reasons for periods changing or being late - age, stress, changes in routine, affects of pregnancy etc. If any of your 3 miscarriages have been recent and since your last delivery in December, then maybe things have just not calmed down yet. But only a doctor can tell you for sure if you are pregnant, and only a doctor can do investigations to see what's going on with your period if not pregnant. So honestly I would make an appointment with your GP and take it from there. Good luck

Cherryblossomsinspring · 24/09/2015 16:36

Either you are not pregnant or you are less than 4 weeks pregnant. Either way, your cycle is out of whack. It happens! I skipped a few periods completely a few years back despite having a totally regular cycle for the 2 yrs before that. Don't worry about it at this stage, hopefully a normal period will come along shortly and you can get back on track.
