Waters? Smells like sperm...

I'm 36 weeks and tonight I noticed that when I go to the loo I can smell sperm on my panty liner and tissue. The panty liner is damp but not wet iykwim. I googled it and apparently waters smell like sperm...? Any advice/experiences appreciated, thanks in advance!

I've had this from about 36 weeks too. All feels very damp. I mentioned it to the midwife and she said discharge was normal and didn't seem concerned. I'm 39+5

Yep. Check with your midwife tho

mine didn't, was a very strange sweet sort of smell. mind you mine went with a pop and a gush so there was no mistaking it. ring the midwife for reassurance, it's probably just a bit of discharge but might a well get your mind put at rest :)

Sorry I meant my discharge smelt like sperm. Can't remember water smell. I don't think it's your waters leaking but check with your midwife

are waters not odourless? I've just read on my what to expect update email that anything that smells like ammonia is just urine/discharge and if it's colour & odourless then it's waters.

I don't think your panty liner would be just damp if it were your waters...

My waters smelled of sperm. At least, I think (we'd had a lot of sex to try to get very overdue baby out though, so maybe it was just actual sperm mixed in there - sorry if TMI!)

And it took me ages to realise it was my waters as my panty liner was just damp - my waters trickled...

Ah well, ignore me then. Mine went in a gush so what do I know!
