Hi,
I've just found out I'm pregnant! I'm due to get married 3rd Oct and have a hen do this thursday, wasn't planning on telling anyone but thought I might need someone to know and create diversions as to why I'm not drinking or to be giving me virgin drinks! What would you advise I've only just missed my period so not very far in!
Also would you tell your mum before the wedding?
Thanks for any advice
Rachel x

Hi Rachel. Congratulations! I told my mum and sister right away as I knew they would be very excited. Im also going to a hen weekend in november which will be just at 12 weeks, so before we willl have announced. I told my sister in law as she is going and will be support for that. I would just pretend to have a couple, then tip them away and order your own drinks at the bar (so it looks like drinking) then just say you dont want to drink too much before your big day because of skin or weight. So long as youre having fun I dont expect anyone would notice. With your mum, its completely personal, if you have reservations theres no harm in waiting just a couple of weeks. Good luck for your wedding!

Congrats!! I would tell someone and they can buy you 'drinks'...or get good at pouring your drink into an abandoned glass on the way to the toilet etc...

Thankyou!
I'd discussed it with my other half and we decided it best to tell someone on the hen to help me out. It's one of my work collegues so she will know fairly soon anyway as I'm a nurse and will need to tell my boss when I'm back at work. I'm gonna try and speak to my mum at some point too. She's probably twigged already though as my boobs are 1-2 cup sizes bigger already!! Is this normal so early, I'm only a size 8-10.
Super excited!!
