So Im 9 days late for my period and up until today I've been doing tests, clear blue digital then first response ones and cheapie ones which were all negative so today at about 17:30 I did a boots own brand digital and that said PREGNANT, then half an hour later I did a second boots own brand digital which said NOT PREGNANT! I don't know which one to believe? I didn't drink anything in between tests either. Can anyone shed any light? I'm not trying to get pregnant and his will be a shock but I'll deal with it if I am.

Am I pregnant or not

I'd trust the 'pregnant' one - false positives are very very rare, false negatives are very common, and 30mins between tests - there probably wasn't enough hormone in your wee to detect it.

Do another with first morning urine or don't drink anything an hold your pee for 4 hours and do another.

It isn't a sign of anything bad. Don't worry. False negatives are so common - the positive is the one that counts. If you have bleeding accompanied by pain it could be a problem but without that you'll be absolutely fine!

Gosh... I did not realise that false negatives were common... I am @ least 5 days late and desperate to be pregnant. I did IUI on 4 September, no sign of period and I tested yesterday and today and both tests negative... If I understood you correctly Junosmum there may still be hope!!

I did two other clear blues and they say positive. It took a while to get those positives!
So I'm pregnant and not sure how to take it

Sammyjayneex if you were me you would be soooooo happy right now as a pregnancy for me is so desired, but ultimately you should do what is right for you. Perhaps seek some counselling so you get good advice about your options. Best of luck!
