I know this threads been done before, but in the midst of my HG I would find great comfort in other's tales of public puking. I thought I'd past caring but this week on 2 separate occasions I've puked in front of 2 different groups of about 50 school kids on a trip. Glad I probably gave them something to laugh about on the way home.
What are your most embarrassing/ poorly timed public puking experiences?

Didn't have hg with my first pregnancy but in the early days i threw up with absolutely no warning it would just explode out of me!

Victims included train station platform in front of about a million horrified commuters. Various flower pots and in the shower that was unpleasant to clean up.

Second pregnancy was hg it was horrendous! I threw up for 9 long months and still chucked up after the birth! I threw up on my stairs, in a car dealership, on myself on multiple occasions, destroyed a hospital toilet and ended up crying to the nurse who half carried me back to bed, on my then DP and on my DS when I changed his nappy he found it hilarious but it did make me realise this wasn't normal Grin

First of all I totally sympathcize with all of you suffering. I suffered badly, spent all day feeling sick and then from the afternoon onwards being sick - I'd regularly have to walk out of meetings never to be seen again, so to be honest I told my boss earlier than planned so he understood. For me the only way to cope was trying to stay away from triggers (like supermarket shopping, I regularly decorated Tescos carpark). I would do the main shop, but DH ended up doing the small top ups. I stopped cooking tea as that was a major trigger and never got finished. Instead of doing bus journeys to work, my DH dropped me off about a mile from work and I'd walk from there. Don't be afraid to ask your other half to help. Also, I found it better to eat lots of snacks - on the occasions I managed a normal size meal I suffered all evening.

I think the doctors can help more these days, but don't to afraid to speak to them if it goes on or gets unbearable. My doctor actually recommended regular sips of water and eating cakes as she was concerned I wasn't absorbing enough energy - cakes are carbohydrate and dry, and she said my body would soon absorb the energy from the sugar in them.

I had HG with my third pregnancy. One day we were all leaving a multi story car park in a queue - kids in car etc

I had to shout at DP to stop so I could get out, ran and threw up in a bin on the wall in the car park with a queue of people behind me Blush

Hope it gets better for you, I was lucky and mine went at about 20 weeks

Not got HG but my first public puking experience with this baby was on the tube at 6 weeks, drank some water, water came back up with contents of stomach into water bottle.

Next was on the train, luckily only a small amount so I managed to swallow it down.

Last time wasn't so fortunate, got off the train, walking to the office, chunder, hold it in my mouth while flapping arms at DP to go get something to spit it out into, he runs off, mouthy team secretary walks past, asks if I am ok, loose ability to hold sick in and let it go all over the pavement in front of her.

Whole office knew by the time I got in 10 minutes later.

I haven't puked at all since I've been pregnant, but literally one month before I got knocked up I picked up a nasty stomach bug that decided to show itself eight hours into a ten hour overnight flight. I spent the end of the flight trying to hold on to my guts until I was finally undone by the Heathrow holding pattern and managed to fill two United Airlines sick bags. Managed to then survive for long enough to get through flight connections, then sprinted and puked into a bin in Terminal 2 in front of loads of people. We then had to fly on to Shannon because we were saving a ton of money by starting and ending our journey in Ireland, and almost puked in my MIL's front garden at the end of the journey from the airport there.
