Telling people

How far gone were you when you decided to tell the first person? (Other than your DP / DH). Just curious

We told parents straight away, and my boss knew as there's certain work I can't do when pregnant. Everyone else we told after the 12 week scan. I had a mc with one pregnancy so wouldn't have wanted to untell people. Also, and this may be just me but I feel knowing early makes it the longest pregnancy in the world for everyone.

First person we told was dh's gran. She was on her death bed and died a week later. We told our respective best friends the following week and dhs parents after an early scan. My parents after 12 week scan and the rest sometime after that.
