I'm 30 weeks and haven't bought a single thing for the baby yet. I've been given some clothes by my sister, and have a promise of a pram and a moses basket. But reading MN posts where people start buying things at 12 weeks is freaking me out. Anyone else in same boat?

I've been waiting for husband to hand in his masters before we can babyify our spare room. Now he has (phew) I'm a bit unsure where to start!

I agree too with the procrastinating! Have done lots of research just no buying.... First it was 'I'll wait till the 12 week scan' then 'I'll wait till the 20 week scan' now it's 'I'll wait until after bumpfest and I was taking solace in thinking first babies are never early, turns out I was! Still, 9 weeks is still ages to go...

Good luck with the shopping AmberRose

I'm 37 weeks and I only just bought some newborn nappies yesterday. DC1 was 2 weeks 'late' so I think I'm working on that timeline. But mw did laugh at me at my apt last week and gave me an 'emergency' pack that included a newborn nappy, in case I went into labour that night.

While it's nice to have absolutely everything in advance, there's always stuff you forget anyway, so DH/DP/ mum/ whoever will be doing endless trips to supermarket/ etc for supplies once baby arrives.
