Hi ladies.

Some of you might have read my post a couple of weeks ago.
Well after being given a 1:5 chance of my baby having downs syndrome I got my results from my harmony test results.
We are at low risk!!!

It has been a horrible last two weeks and have been trying not to be be worried which was easier said then done.

Today was 14 days after doing the test and as this date got closer I just become so much more nervous. When I heard the phone thing and saw it was the hospital I did panic, I was already trying not to cry but as soon as she said it was good news the tears just came.

I know they say this test isn't 100% but it is 99.something% accurate which is good enough for me.

I can relax now and enjoy my pregnancy and I think me and the OH need to go and celebrate by buying lots of baby stuff :)

Emma xx

Fantastic news,i'm so happy for you!
The Harmony is 99.9% accurate so you can definitely park it now and enjoy the pregnancy! it's much more accurate than the precious tests you took which commonly show up as high risk when not. For that reason i went directly for the Harmony this time and by passed the other testing. Too many people i know had high risk from the other screening, only to be low risk on harmony and go on to have perfectly healthy babies. So i bypassed the screening and just got the harmony done.

Really pleased for you. It's such a relief.

Thank you ladies.

We weren't originally go to do the downs syndrome screening until the fluid on the neck was slightly large but the midwifes made out is was really bad and was just making me worry so much. so we did the screening. We were offered the invasive test but refused so they offered us the harmony test. we were preparing ourselves for a bad out come.

Just cant get over the good news :) x
