Missed period 3 months after giving birth

Was just wondering if anyone could help and give me some advice, I recently had a baby 3 months ago I bled after birth for 5 weeks then a week later had a normal period for around 6 days, now I'm 6 days late on my next period and I havnt used contraception do you think i should take a pregnancy test or has anyone else just had irregular periods after having a baby??

I had irregular periods for about 4 cycles after I had DS2 but I would do a test just in case!

I get period like pains but then they go but no pregnancy symptoms but think I'll do a test just to be sure! Thanks x

It could be irregular bleeding, but if you've been having unprotected sex then it's equally likely you could be pregnant.

Fertility can return 21 days after delivery.

Women can be super fertile after giving birth. As you've been having unprotected sex pregnancy is very likely.

You've been having unprotected sex so yes you should take a test.

It's completely possible to get pregnant even if your periods haven't settled into a routine.

If you don't want to be pregnant you should be using contraception. It is possible to get pregnant that soon after giving birth, even if you're breastfeeding.
