cant stop being sick

So I have suffered with sickness with this baby from about 4 weeks. Today I have woken up and not stopped vomiting all day. Im not even keeping water down.If it carries on into tomorrow I will have to see someone question is do I go doctors or straight to hospital or ring my midwife? Advice appreciated

How pregnant are you??? If you are relatively early I would go straight to your gp. And make sure you get an urgent appointment.
I waited three days between chucking constantly and seeing my gp but then got some medication which was a godsend!

If you are post 25 weeks I would ring the hospital.

Im just over 11 weeks. Thankyou if i carry on through to morning I will ring the doctors. Im really thirsty so i drink but then i just bring it all back up even taking small sips :( and I am hungry so eating small amounts but the same still bringing it back up. Im fed up of this pregnancy already :(

Go straight to GP and take whatever they are willing to give you. I delayed going for so long because I felt guilty about taking meds when pregnant and by the time I got them, I couldn't keep them down and ended up on a drip. If the GP is reluctant or if you struggle to get an appointment, say its an emergency.

It depends on how dehydrated you are really. Have you urinated much today? Is it pale or dark and cloudy?

It's very easy to become dehydrated when you're non stop vomming and once you get to a certain point of dehydration the sickness won't improve until you're rehydrated again. This can be hard as by that stage fluids will irritate your stomach and you will likely just be sick and the cycle continues. so if you feel like you're very dehydrated I advise you to go to hospital for IV treatment (they will give you antisickness meds too)

If you're not overly dehydrated then I would book an appointment with your GP and ask for some medication.

I have been to the toilet but its just dribbles. I just feel really dry at the mo and I keep drinking to stay hydrated but it just comes back up. Think I will ring docs in the morning if still the same. Thanks for your advice

I had this and I went to the pregnancy /women's unit at our local hospital - ended up on a drip. They said I'd done the right thing. I felt so, so much better after - whatta is right - you get that dehydrated and it's like a downward spiral.

One thing my mw did say which I was skeptical about but did work was to stop trying to drink 'proper' glasses of water. She said to get a teaspoon and some flat coke and take one small teaspoon every five mins. It did actually help!

I had this and didn't get medical attention in time so ended up being kept in hospital on a drip to rehydrate me.
If you can't keep water down, call 111 and speak through with them (how many days, what the vomit is like etc) and they'll advise you GP or a&e.
They say the food isn't too much of an issue as baby will just take from you, but not keeping water down can end up dangerous if not dealt with in time. Not trying to scare you, but just speak to somebody sooner rather than later.
If you're only "dribbling" and not your usual amount when you go to the toilet, it can sometimes be a sign of dehydration.
