I have my 12 week scan and Nuchal test today at 4:30. They said they would give us the Nuchal test results today as we are going privately as the NHS can't see me before 15 weeks. I am so scared in case something is wrong, I also haven't had as many symptoms recently - I keep thinking this pregnancy is in my head! Anyone have any words of advice to keep me calm? Also what is a good Nuchal test result - I know they give you a 1 in x chance but what is a good score? Wish me luck

Good luck! I think it depends on the doctor / sonographer. I got myself in a right state over mine and burst into tears when all mine came back in the thousands but they still suggested harmony type test with those results but I declined. Perfectly normal to be nervous though no advice about keeping calm I just kept myself busy.

Anything above 1 in 150 is counted as low risk. You have a background risk which is simply based on your age rather than YOUR genetic makeup.

So for example my background was 1 in 154 as I'm 38 but my actual risk based on the scan and blood test was 1 in 1100 so definitely low risk
