I'm scheduled to have a sweep at 39+5. Just wondered if anyone else has had one around that time and if they were favourable/ if it did anything?
Thanks

Had one at 38+1 and at 39 weeks and both did naff all :( having said that my b-hicks have become more intense since but no sign of baby or being in labour. Now being induced as they are concerned about babys growth dip. Good luck! Xx

Thanks fuzzyduck! Good luck with your induction! Hopefully baby will decide it's time to arrive!

I had one at 37 weeks, cervix was soft, favourable and 1cm dilated. Had a bit of a show, some period pains and the MW said she was sure I'd have the baby within a few days. Three weeks later I had another in my due date, again cervix was favourable, waters bulging this time and was 2-3cm and at 40+5 I went into labour. I think they will only work if your body is ready.

Dixie I would be so disappointed if I had though at 37 weeks there had been a chance of it being successful and then going over!

I was very disappointed at the time. All worth it now though Smile hope your sweep is successful :)

I had one at about 7pm at 40 + 3 days and went into labour the next afternoon. It was uncomfortable for a moment rather than painful and def seemed to get things moving! Good luck!
