Bump drop?

34 weeks and last few nights have felt very big and cramped, worst heartburn ever and struggling to breathe. This morning woke up and felt good, like I could breathe again, bump looks significantly lower? Shouldn't this happen closer to delivery?

Do you mean the baby has engaged, so is lower down?

My first engaged at 31 weeks and stayed there for 8 weeks. My second didn't engage at all and certainly wasn't engaged when my waters broke spontaneously at 37 weeks.

It doesn't mean anything at all. First babies tend to engage early and second ones are prone to popping in and out. It doesn't mean labour is close at all.

is it your first baby? Apparently they drop and engage sooner than subsequent babies. I dropped around 35/36, engaged and ready to launch!

It's also possible your baby was breech, and last night decided to turn around. This also happened me around 32 weeks, and the relief was immense!

Ah thanks guys, no it was head down already but I had no idea it would start to engage this early - as long as It doesn't mean labour is close lol, I'm not ready!
