What it says on the tin really. I looked in tesco but all they had were two nasal sprays which both said to consult a doctor if pregnant.

Separate bedrooms!! That is all that's helping us at the minute!

Sorry that doesn't really help but I snores through my last pregnancy and started again at about 20 weeks this time!!

The nasal sprays don't really work anyway to be honest. Don't waste your money.

Snoring is generally either mechanical (most of it) or neurological (rarer.) thing which can be effective are:

Weight loss for the snorer
Sleeping on their side, not their back
Cutting right down on alcohol in the evening
Surgery to stiffen tissues at back of throat
A sort of gum shield/bite guard type thing you can get from the dentist which pulls the lower jaw forward a little - these work brilliantly in some people.

Earplugs and a campaign of vigorous prodding him back into a position he doesn't snore in work for me ;)

I snored like a warthog while I was pregnant. Spoke to the pharmacist and was told I could only use the strips you stick over your nose.

Not sure if they worked, I also tried a steam inhalation of Olbas oil before I went to bed in an attempt to clear everything out and propping my head up with extra pillows.

DH also tried earplugs and coming up to bed at the same time as me, so he had more chance of falling asleep first.

Think it has pretty much cleared up now the baby has arrived though, good luck!

Thanks all, I'm glad I didn't waste money on the spray. I'll get him some earplugs!
