Hi all,

Just had a spare of the moment purchase where I have just bought a Brand New in Box Bugaboo Camelon 3 off eBay for ??580. Seller says the box has never been opened and is brand new, and they have sold a number of them with excellent user feedback.

There is a warranty card that apparantly comes in the box but I was wondering if that would still be valid as I didnt buy it from a retailer?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, we reregistered the warranty with bugaboo when we bought a second hand one a few weeks ago, bugaboo are pretty good.

We bought ours off eBay!

Cool, just hope they accept the ebay proof of purchase as it was off a seller not a business as such..

I just rang them and asked about the frames that had been recalled as I'd just bought a second hand one, gave them my seriel number. They told me it was fine and asked if I wanted the warranty transferring to my name as it still had time to run on it.

ArgentinianMalbec · 08/09/2015 22:29

Junos, what's this recall? Is it about the carry handle?

Junosmum · 08/09/2015 22:57

There was one about the carry handle and another about the frame/ chassis. It's very specific serial numbers and from a few years ago.

ArgentinianMalbec · 09/09/2015 08:42

Ah ok thanks. Mines relatively new (2013) so should be ok. Grin

Ladies how do you find the bugaboo? We are looking at investing in the camelion but I've heard mixed reviews.

Junosmum · 09/09/2015 10:03

From what I've used of it I love it, but it is very expensive, so we got ours second hand. They do last well and I think the cameleon is good 'off road' which is why we bought it. I find it easy to fold and change round but it isn't compact.

The recall was in the early part of 2013.

I've got a Bee and love it, such a good pram. And my 3 year old will still climb in it so it lasts trough the toddler years.

I just called Bugaboo and to have warranty they state it must be the first owner from the shop. Apparantly they know who bought it and where from as they sell it through their trusted retailers, so my brand new one off ebay will not be covered by warranty....

Love mine, but would get the uppababy vista in hindsight, for the larger basket underneath.

darrenwis · 09/09/2015 19:26

What issues do people have with the Bugaboo, anything to worry about that i wont have a warranty?

That's really odd Darren. I have mine in an email!

darrenwis · 10/09/2015 09:19

I'll send the warranty card back and see what they say.
