Just that really. There isn't even much in the way of beige/sand. Everything is grey. I love grey, most of my house is grey (which is nicer than it sounds I promise!) but I can't help but think a baby would look a little dreary in grey all the time.

We don't know what we are having and even when baby gets here, he/she will not be overdosed in pink/blue, and we know that people buying us gifts will all be gender specific, so would like to have a good stock of white and lemon especially babygros for the first few months.

Any suggestions?

Not lemon but next have some fab multi pack multi colour vests and sleep suits

issynoho · 08/09/2015 10:03

H&M and Gap?

RatOnnaStick · 08/09/2015 10:07

I imagine there just aren't that many people keen on lemon anymore.

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 08/09/2015 10:11

Boots? TK Maxx? Bundles on eBay or Facebook?
And do have a look in the boy and girtl sections, there are often neutral clothes labeled as boy or girl, stripey, spots, animals etc. You've just got to hunt around.

Buglife · 08/09/2015 10:12

John Lewis do lovely bright patterns that are unisex.

FreeButtonBee · 08/09/2015 10:14

Lemon really doesn't suit many babies particularly if they are jaundiced. Greg is actually surprisingly sweet on babies and navy is also good (although people will assume boy)

When I had DD 10 years ago, there was lemon everywhere, I am just surprised there isn't any around.
I do love the Next & H&M stuff
Will have a mozey around John Lewis and TK Maxx at the weekend I think!

Thank you

Next have a few yellow things, including a particularly cute rubber duck sleepsuit. Jojo Maman Bebe also have some lovely unisex sleepsuits which are really good quality.

RatOnnaStick · 08/09/2015 10:25

H&M have a surprisingly good range of baby not-pink-or-blue vests.

contractor6 · 08/09/2015 11:21

Yellow on amazon, for biege check out the new range at mother are, I got white at Asda xx

notaprincessbutaqueen · 08/09/2015 11:49

next has some nice neutral baby bits. I saw in boots yesterday they had some mint clothes for unisex. they were really quite nice.
erm, that's it really. beige and grey everywhere else.
i'd love some bright rainbow coloured unisex items if anyone knows of any? or it will be plain white from Tesco followed by a massive online haul within hours of giving birth [

hotfuzzra · 08/09/2015 12:02

nota JL had a multipack of brightly coloured vests I got for DD. (Sadly they were in the Boys' section and were labeled BOYS but I don't mind if DD catches the gay so the warning wasn't applicable to me...!)
Also I saw multipacks of white vests and sleep suits in Tesco yesterday.
When I was buying for DD last autumn I found lots of nice unisex stuff in Boots.

ODog · 08/09/2015 12:16

Google the essential one. They do lots of nice gender neutral bits and also Fred and Noah (on etsy) do cute gender neutral leggings/hats/bibs/booties/tshirts.

scarednoob · 08/09/2015 12:47

Boots have some nice white and mint green stuff!

Junosmum · 08/09/2015 12:53

Tesco! I want green but can't find green, can only find lemon in Tesco and I'm not a fan of lemon!

ThatsNotEvenAWord · 08/09/2015 13:02

When I was pregnant with DS boots did beautiful rainbow vests. Don't know if they're still in but love their unisex stuff.

sleepyhead · 08/09/2015 13:10

Sainsbury often has nice neutral pastels or brights for newborns. eg: this sort of thing

sleepyhead · 08/09/2015 13:13

Little Bird, the Jools Oliver collection at Mothercare is also good for unisex stuff - it's mostly rainbow colours.

sleepyhead · 08/09/2015 13:14

Little Bird newborn.

fairyfeatures · 08/09/2015 13:24

Thank you for all the suggestions - Will check them all out this weekend!

Those looking for green and multi-coloured - definitely Boots - I have some gorgeous mint green sets from there. I actually painted the nursery in a pale green whilst wondering whether it was boyish - but added pink and blue to it! I am also not bothered if DC catches the gay!! Laughed my socks off at the hotfuzz - excellent!

same issue here - I have bought from M&S, Next, John Lewis, Mamas and Papas and H&M and the majority of stuff is white or gray! Yellow just seems a bit unpopular at the moment although Mothercare has a few items if you want to check it out!

I live near a super Tesco in Raynes Park. I had a quick look the other day, they've got a good Autumn/winter range. Beige, lemons, neutral colours. Not to expensive. Also great range of all the other bits and pieces you might need for baby.
