Please has anyone been through something simular - bleeding and worried sick!

On Thursday I started bleeding but not much - popped to hospital on Friday as I suddenly had a gush when I stood up (sorry tmi) was given an examination and my cervix was still closed. They followed on with a scan and baby was still present with a heartbeat despite some clotting and bleeding still. They said I could go home however 2 hours later at home I had severe contraction type cramps with heavy bleeding and huge clots. Since I woke this morning the bleeding has lessened.

I'm worried sick as I cant be scanned til Monday. My head is all over the place. Has anyone been through anything similar and gone back for a scan and baby still fine.

I'm petrified of being scanned again and being told the worst. I'm 9 weeks

It's good that they have seen a heartbeat. Unfortunately you just won't know until your scanned, but lots of people have bleeding in early pregnancy and go on to have wonderful, healthy children.

I went through the exact same. Although I wasn't scanned at the hospital initially and had to wait 3 days for heartbeat to be checked! They said it was breakthrough bleeding where I would normally be due a period but the pregnancy hormone wasn't yet strong enough to stop some blood getting through. All was fine. Like you I bled for just one day. Naturally you will worry but try your best to relax. Your cervix being closed is good. All the best

At 9 weeks I stood up one lunchtime and had a huge gush of blood, so much so that it would have ran down my leg if I wasn't wearing trousers.
I went to and e still bleeding they examined me and and my cervix was closed but they weren't able to scan my for three days. I was convinced that I'd lost my baby. She's 10 now. I went on to have a totally normal straight forward pregnancy. It's really good you have seen a heartbeat, have everything crossed for you it's a horribly frightening thing to go through.

I also had this at 8 weeks. A sudden gush, then large clots and bleeding for 2-3 days. No cramps though. I was sure I'd lost it, but couldn't believe it when a scan a couple of days later showed the baby was fine?!. Dr. said might have been a left over clot from my cycle?.
I'm 16 weeks now and have just started to feel baby kicking. Hope everything is ok for you?!.
